Online Courses and Digital Content

These additional terms apply when you purchase access to an online course or other paid digital content provided by Third Sister through this website.

Course content and purpose

Our online courses are educational resources providing general nutrition and lifestyle information. Course descriptions, included materials and the price payable will be shown on the relevant course sales and checkout pages.
Courses do not provide personalised medical or dietetic advice and do not replace advice from your prescribing team or other healthcare professionals. Where individual assessment or treatment is required, you should seek appropriate professional support.

Purchase and access

Payment must be successfully completed before access to paid course content is provided.
Unless otherwise stated at the point of purchase, payment is a one-off payment rather than a recurring subscription.
Course access is provided through your personal Third Sister account. Your login details and course access are for your individual use and must not be shared with another person.
Where a course is described as providing ongoing access, this means that no fixed expiry date currently applies to your access. It does not represent a guarantee that the course, website or underlying technology will remain available indefinitely.
We may make reasonable updates to course materials from time to time, including to reflect changes in evidence, professional guidance or course content.

Immediate access and your right to cancel

Online courses contain digital content supplied electronically.
Consumers would ordinarily have a 14-day cancellation period for digital content purchased online. However, digital content may be supplied during that period where you expressly request immediate access and acknowledge that your right to cancel will be lost once supply of the digital content begins. Legislation.gov.uk
At checkout, you will therefore be asked separately to confirm that you:

  1. request immediate access to the digital course; and
  2. understand that once access to the digital content begins, you lose your statutory 14-day right to cancel.

If you do not provide this consent and acknowledgement, we cannot provide immediate access to the course.

Refunds and statutory rights

Once you have requested immediate access and supply of the digital content has begun, we do not generally offer refunds simply because you change your mind.

This does not affect your statutory consumer rights. Digital content must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose where applicable and match its description, and these statutory rights cannot be excluded by our terms. Legislation.gov.uk

If you experience a problem accessing a course or believe that the digital content is faulty or not as described, please contact us at INFO@thirdsister.co.uk so that we can investigate and, where appropriate, provide the remedy required by law.

Course materials

The copyright and intellectual-property provisions elsewhere in these Terms & Conditions also apply to all course videos, workbooks, handouts, downloads and other learning materials.
Your purchase gives you a personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable right to use these materials for your own private use. You must not share your account, reproduce or distribute course materials, upload them elsewhere, sell them, or make them available to another person without our prior written permission.

Essential communications

By purchasing a course, you understand that we may send you essential communications relating to your purchase, account, access to the course or material changes affecting the service.
These service communications are separate from marketing emails. Marketing communications will only be sent in accordance with your marketing preferences and our Privacy Policy.
