FAQ
How can I book a session?
Are the sessions in person or virtual via video call?
Both options are available, with in-person sessions available for anyone living in the greater London area. Otherwise, virtual sessions are available for anyone who prefers.
Do I need to be referred by a doctor?
You do not need to be referred by a doctor to book your appointment, however you may need a referral from your GP if you intend to make an insurance claim. Please check with your insurer for coverage.
Is the cost covered by insurance?
This will depend on your insurance policy, currently we work with BUPA, WPA and Cigna insurers. Please check with your insurer to see if they will cover your sessions.
What is the difference between a Dietitian and a Nutritionist?
- Dietitians: Regulated by the HCPC and trained within the NHS, they are the only professionals in the UK qualified to provide individualized nutritional guidance.
- Nutritionists: Experts in the study of nutrients and their effects on the body, often focusing on general advice and health promotion.
How long is the first session?
An initial assessment typically lasts between 45-60 minutes.
Do I need to prepare anything for my initial assessment?
It is not required, but if you have any relevant medical health results/reports, or if you are taking any medication or supplements, it would be good for you to have this information on hand.
When is payment for my program due?
After your initial assessment, we will send you an invoice along with your program roadmap. Full payment must be made before your first follow-up session.
What payment methods do you accept?
Third Sister accepts bank transfers and card payments.
Do you have a cancellation policy?
If you can’t make your session, please cancel at least 24 hours in advance and re-book via the booking portal. If you cancel within 12-hours notice before an appointment you may lose that session with no refund.
